This is strictly personal. I live in Ocala Florida; to be precise I live in the county outside of Ocala. My electric company is owned by the city of Ocala and is basically run by the city Council. Since I live in the county I have no say our representation in how they run the electric company. My recent electric bill was almost $400. I was charged $168 for the electricity I used and an additional $187 fuel charge. There were also some additional little charges such as a $25 surcharge. I know people that have a 2500 ft. home that are paying $600 to $800 for their electric per month.

I would be interested in hearing from you what you pay each month for electricity especially if you live in Florida. Even if you don’t live in Florida I’d like to hear your opinion. So please leave a comment.
