Watercolor…This is a Photoshop manipulation which I did for the Digitalnuts, a user group dedicated to learning and advancement of the art of manipulation.  On this image I used the art history brush and the smudge tool.

This image demonstrates what you can do in Photoshop to produce an old world look.  I used the art history brush along with the smudge tool, combined with layering to produce this image.  I have posted the full painting along with two different crops of the same image.  The original image is by Fred James of Fred James Photography.  Fred posted this image as a challenge on DPreview.com. Accomplished with a little art history brush, history brush, paintbrush and a little smudging. Of course it’s all done in Photoshop using multiple layers. The photo I took a few weeks ago. I thought it would make a nice painting, and I think it did. Click image for larger view.
