Coming Soon LucisArt Pro

LucisArt Pro will be more powerful than LucisArt and even easier to use.

To focus on everything that needs to be done to release the new software, sales of the current version of LucisArt have been discontinued. LucisArt is now obsolete. During a developer conference today, Google released a new plugin that allows Google Earth to be embedded into a browser. The plugin will allow developers to create mashups using imagery from Google Earth (and Google Sky) and will also allow existing Google Maps mashups to be converted using just one line of code.

Here’s a video showing the plugin in action.

The plugin is currently available for IE6, IE7 and Firefox 2 on Windows. [via]

A man invented a lightbulb that uses no electricity or batteries which is made from empty plastic bottles filled with water and clorox. The Sun charges the particles creating a chemical reaction, making the bottle illuminate as strongly as a 60-watt electrical lightbulb. The light is bright white.

The Arrival is a migrant story told as a series of wordless images that might seem to come from a long forgotten time. A man leaves his wife and child in an impoverished town, seeking better prospects in an unknown country on the other side of a vast ocean. He eventually finds himself in a bewildering city of foreign customs, peculiar animals, curious floating objects and indecipherable languages. With nothing more than a suitcase and a handful of currency, the immigrant must find a place to live, food to eat and some kind of gainful employment. He is helped along the way by sympathetic strangers, each carrying their own unspoken history: stories of struggle and survival in a world of incomprehensible violence, upheaval and hope. Link
