I have a new gallery at zenfolio.com.  I created this new gallery because it gives me the ability to sell my prints.  All the prints are available in 8 x 10 and are professionally processed on Kodak paper.  I’m selling the 8 x 10 prints for $10 plus shipping.  All the proceeds will go towards supporting this site and others I’ve created.  All the prints in this new gallery have previously been printed, so I know they’re of good quality.  I’d also like to add that if you are interested in setting up a gallery at zenfolio.com, I have a discount code (89M-NTY-REW) that will get you a few dollars off.  If you use the code, I get a credit for everyone who signs up.  I have to say that I am impressed with the quality of the site.  I sold two 8 x 10 bird prints my first day. Thank you.

One more from Veerle’s Blog

“Pattern brushes in Illustration… Honestly? It’s something I hardly (read ‘never’) use. That’s just because I haven’t looked into this feature and now that I have I truly believe in its powers. Ever since I started writing Illustrator and Photoshop tutorials, I come to the conclusion that I know and use so little of certain features that can really save me a lot of time. When I’m writing these tutorials, I always take time to explore and experiment a lot to get to know and understand these features better and to see how far I can go. Sometimes, depending on which feature of course, I’m only scratching the surface. It’s good to question the different ways or techniques to accomplish the same result. Without further ado, here is my version of how you can use seamless Illustrator pattern brushes with outer corner tiles…”

finalFrom Veerle’s Blog

“It is the weekend so the ideal time to have some extra fun in Illustrator and learn something along the way. I’ve talked about writing a tutorial for Vectortuts+ a few days ago. The article has now been published as part of the Graphic Design week that was going on.”

In this tutorial, we’ll be creating a poster with a strong geometric central design, which utilizes flowing blends, masks shapes, and subtle gradients, to create a sophisticated final piece. Learn each detailed step in creating this poster by following the 30 steps. Let’s get started!

“I will be creating a series of posts explaining the making of this illustration in-depth. For part 1, here is how I prepared my line drawing for painting in Photoshop.”

linos2This portable vinyl player is called “Linos” and is so much more modern than any vinyl player I think I’ve ever seen. It conserves space, is muchly mobile and looks very, very cool. You load the record to the lower spindle element, lock it into place and push power. It then releases the tonearm and spins up the record. You can hook it up through your computer’s USB port for sound (and power), or use the USB power adapter with standard stereo jack output. Link

splash-107Adobe Photoshop has always been one of the greatest software when it comes to manipulating and editing images. It all started off in 1987 with a Mac application call Display, created by Thomas Knoll.

With two decades worth of changes and improvements, you almost can’t imagine how the first version of Photoshop would look like by looking at the Photoshop you have on your desktop.
